Renewal Process

This year, the renewal process is online!

Important things to note:

  • There’s no need to send us excel spreadsheets of your Continuous Professional Development (CPD) or Professional Supervision (PS), since all this information will now be collected online.
  • Payment of fees is part of the application process.
  • Pay online via credit card, debit card, or by using PayPal.
  • Our updated form allows you to self-assess for compliance and provide additional information where required.
  • Once your application has been approved, you’ll receive a certificate of membership in the mail.

Checking Your Compliance

What are the current CPD and PS requirements?

Continuous Professional Development

  • For the 2016-17 membership year, members must demonstrate 10 points of CPD
  • For the membership year starting January 2018, members will be required to demonstrate 20 points of CPD per annum

Professional Supervision

  • Minimum 10 hours per year for members employed 20 hours a week or more 
  • Minimum 6 hours per year for members employed less than 20 hours per week 
  • For the full requirements read the Supervision and PD Policy.

What happens if I haven’t met the CPD or PS requirements for the year?

If you’ve been unable to meet requirements, still complete the online renewal form, providing an explanation in the space provided. One of our Compliance Committee members will be in touch to assist you in whatever way they can to comply or reach a resolution.
