The peak body for Financial Counsellors in Victoria, the Financial and Consumer Rights Council (FCRC) is delighted with the Victorian Government announcement that Victorians will now be able to pay vehicle registration by instalments.
Many Victorians have found it tough to pay the annual lump sum for vehicle registration in one payment with some having to take out expensive short term loans to keep their cars on the road. This change will not only make registration payments easier to budget for, it will save people going into bad debt to pay for it.
