Membership Renewal

Is it time for you to renew your FCRC membership and reap the benefits of being part of our ongoing sector development and professionalisation programme? YES, IT IS!

To assist you with all of this, we have uploaded all the necessary documents below.  All you have to do is grab a cuppa, download your form from the link below and we'll talk you through the attachments, compliance and other useful information!  Too easy!

Membership renewal 2013 - DUE by 31 May 2013

This is an important section for members and contains the following:

  • 2013 renewal notice
  • 2013 fee structure
  • Results of member survey and FCRC board response to PD and PS policies
  • Updated PD and PS policies (as agreed by the board)
  • PD delivered by FCRC in 2012 (to assist those members to recall what PD they attended)
  • Information on the compliance committee

What this means in part, is that we will no longer be invoicing you for your membership renewal as we have done in the past.  This year, we are introducing a membership renewal system.  You simply fill out and return our new membership renewal form, along with payment and a list [we will provide the template] of PD and PS you have attended during the year.

The FCRC constitution outlines that the FCRC Board has responsibility for prescribing FCRC member and associate member requirements for professional development and supervision.

The Board was extremely appreciative of the 75 members that completed the survey [there is a link below]. Results from the 2012 FCRC Member Survey were presented to the FCRC Board in February 2013 for consideration in determining the future requirements of FCRC member and associate member professional development and supervision.  Based on member feedback, the FCRC Board revised the FCRC Professional Development and Supervision Policy in February 2013. [also linked below]

A summary of the main changes is linked under 'board response' below.  You can read the full policy below as well.

The PD requirements for 2012 were 10 points and the PS requirements were 6 hours.

I have not been able to reach my PD and PS requirements for 2012

FCRC board has established a compliance committee to consider, negotiate and facilitate resolution to the 2012 membership compliance. The committee is made up of Annette Devereaux, Colin Handreck, Bronny Kernaghan and Cheryl Buttigieg. Dr June Smith the manager of code compliance at FOS is providing advice to the committee. If you have been unable to reach the 2012, still complete the PD and PS form. There is space for you to provide an explanation. One of the committee will be in touch to discuss with you further.
