BANKS MISS THE MARK ON BANKRUPTCY REFORM

 

The FCRC is urging the Senate to support the amendments to Australia's bankruptcy legislation designed to protect debtors from becoming homeless over relatively small debts, by increasing the minimum threshold for which a creditor's petition can be filed from $2,000 to $10,000.
