AWARDS

Nominations are now open for the Virginia Noonan Award and the Jan Pentland Memorial Award. Both awards will be presented at this year’s Annual General Meeting.

Virginia Noonan Award

Applications are now invited for the very first presentation of this award. This is to be awarded annually from this year (2010) and is named after one of our esteemed Life Members.

Many current Financial Counsellors owe much of their knowledge in the field to the training run by Virginia back in the early 90’s long before any tertiary courses existed. She is indeed a pioneer in our profession.

The Board has decided to give this award the monetary value of $1000.

Jan worked tirelessly for many years to promote the cause of Financial Counselling both here in Victoria and nationally as well through the formation of AFCCRA. Her information sharing was a highlight in the Devil’s Advocate for many years.

David Morawetz has donated $1000 to be awarded to the winner.
