Looking back over the last 12 months, FCRC has witnessed a number of changes and accomplishments in 2017.
FCRC launched the Rank the Telco report in April, which is still receiving attention as we further examine the telco sector. The FCRC Conference in Lorne in October was well attended by members and industry representatives. I was also pleased that after a long period of campaigning, we were able to see the state government introduce payment instalment options for car registrations.
A number of staff changes at FCRC also occurred, and the Board once again acknowledge the work of Peter Gartlan and Bernadette Pasco during their time with the organisation. Donna Letchford joined the FCRC staff as a Project Worker to support family violence financial counsellors. We also welcomed Sandy Ross into the role of Executive Officer, who has embraced the opportunity to create further positive outcomes for the sector.
As we head into a new year, we will continue to look for ways to grow our sector and highlight the importance of the work all financial counsellors do each day. On behalf of the FCRC Board, I would like to wish everyone a happy and restful break.
