This month, Julie travelled to Canberra to accompany other consumer advocates in lobbying politicians for responsible lending reforms.
She was joined by other FCs, including Pam Mutton and Eleanor Mason, as well as a community member that had been directly impacted by irresponsible lending practices. Eleanor has shared her experience from the day, and reflected on the power of the lived-experience when campaigning for change, in this issue of the DA.
Consumer Action Law Centre also released a newsletter outlining the recommendations for reform, which you can read here: Four ways to fairer finance.
